Red Bull Racing has officially revealed a breathtaking white livery for the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix, set to take place at the iconic Suzuka Circuit.

Announced on March 31, 2025, this one-off design marks a poignant farewell to Honda, Red Bull’s power unit supplier since 2019, as the Japanese manufacturer prepares to shift its Formula 1 allegiance to Aston Martin in 2026.

A nod to history

The new livery draws inspiration from Honda’s rich motorsport legacy, particularly the iconic Honda RA272, which carried Richie Ginther to the company’s first Formula 1 victory at the 1965 Mexican Grand Prix.

That car’s clean white design, punctuated by red accents reminiscent of the Japanese flag, has been reimagined for the modern era on Red Bull’s RB21.

The Red Bull logo, boldly painted in red on the engine cover, serves as a focal point, while minor blue highlights toward the front and rear of the car add a touch of contrast to the otherwise minimalist aesthetic.

This isn’t the first time Red Bull has embraced a white livery to honor Honda. Fans may recall the RB16B’s striking appearance at the 2021 Turkish Grand Prix, a race that replaced the pandemic-canceled Japanese Grand Prix that year.

Adding to the spectacle, Max Verstappen has unveiled a matching white helmet with red trim and a floral design at the rear, which he dedicated to Japanese fans with a simple “For you” message accompanied by the Japanese flag.

The reigning World Champion, who has won every Japanese Grand Prix since 2022, will aim to cap off the Honda era with another victory in these commemorative colors.
